Tri-Loppet Coverage
June 28, 2008The City of Lakes Tri-Loppet featured their biggest field to date as participants were treated to the full range of Minnesota weather on Saturday morning. Over 200 boats started the canoe leg on Lake Calhoun and raced through the chain of lakes to Brownie, where crews switched to trail running through the hilly South Wirth terrain. A brief but heavy shower after the start of the mountain bike leg made for some extra challenges on the course before the sun broke back out at the finish.
