All anglers meet at 8:00pm Friday, August 15th at Midwest Mountaineering  to receive their photo identifier, check in and enjoy fellowship, food and exclusive product discounts.
On tournament Saturday all anglers must return to Midwest Mountaineering at 3:30pm to check in for scoring, food and fellowship.
Anglers must have their catches entered on the online "Submit Fish Form" by 4 pm to count.

Alex Honnold is one of the most recognizable icons in modern rock climbing. Alex is best known for his daring free-solo ascents, in which he climbs thousand-foot cliffs without a rope or harness of any kind. Thursday, August 14 - 6:30pm - Evidence of Bigfoot
Brent Harring has been an amateur bigfoot investigator since 2006 and has explored the subject extensively, focusing on the work of four scientists:  Grover Krantz of Washington State University, Henner Fahrenbach of the Oregon Regional Primate Center, John Bindernagel of British Columbia, and Jeff Meldrum of Idaho State University. In addition, Brent affiliated with the amateur Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization (BFRO) and attended six BFRO field expeditions from 2008-2010 in WY, WI, MI, and MN. He studied forensic tracking in Gardiner, MT last October with Jeff Meldrum and Jim Halfpenny.  During his presentation, Brent will discuss evidence of bigfoot, the Great Ape Hypothesis, and “bigfooting” as a recreational outdoor pursuit. Tournament check-in here at Midwest Mountaineering. A catch-photo-release tournament series for paddle-powered anglers who enjoy wild waters! The River Bassin Trail is designed to give anglers of all skill levels a chance to compete in a family-friendly environment on the nation's wild river waters.  These waters are often neglected and seen as unimportant.  This eco-friendly trail hopes to bring attention back to the rivers and the wildlife and beauty they behold.

Find out everything you need to know about paddling in the BWCA.  Bear Paulsen, General Manager at Northstar Canoes, will share his knowledge of permits, routes and general wilderness tripping techniques. He'll give you hints on avoiding the crowds whether you're base-camping or traveling daily.  He'll also share ways to avoid the two most threatening parts of canoe country – bugs and bears. Tuesday, August 19 - 6:30pm - El Camino De Santiago
St. James Way, or as the Spanish call it; El Camino de Santiago, is a famous pilgrimage starting in the Pyrenees of France and ending on the northwestern coast of Spain.  It can be backpacked – but is different than most hikes in the U.S. since you can stroll through quaint historic towns, stop for coffee and pastries, and experience a unique combination of culture and nature! Join our employee, Haley Diem, who completed 500k of the trail in 2012 to discuss her experience, and provide tips for those who might be interested in walking the Camino for their next European adventure. Friday, August 29 - 7:00pm Free Film Night – Red Gold 
The Bristol Bay Region of southwest Alaska is home to the Kvichak and Nushagak rivers, the two most prolific sockeye salmon runs left in the world.Two mining companies, Nortern Dynasty Minerals and Anglo American, have proposed an open-pit and underground mine at the headwaters of the two rivers. This film is produced by Felt Soul Media and Trout Unlimited Alaska, and is a one-hour documentary film on the proposed mines and land use issues, told through the voices of commercial, subsistence and sport fishermen of Bristol Bay, Alaska.
