Boulder Nordic Sport Midwest Updates
We are enjoying the first winter in our new shop at 90th and Penn in Bloomington. And we have been taking advantage of our close proximity to Hyland Lake Park and their fantastic early-season conditions to get on snow and test out our grinds and waxes.
We will be hosting a free equipment demo at Hyland this Saturday, December 6th from 9am to 4pm. We will have a full fleet of racing skis and boots, both classic and skate, including Madshus Redline skis and Madshus Super Nano and Nano Carbon boots. What better way to enjoy the best skiing in the Twin Cities Metro than on this season’s top of the line equipment?
In addition to setting you up on skis, boots, and poles, we will be on hand to talk shop about stonegrinding, and kick and glide waxing. We look forward to seeing you on Saturday! Now is the time to get your skis ready for the winter. We are delivering our stonegrinding and hotbox services weekly now, so skis dropped off by Monday will be ready for pick-up by that Friday. Feel free to bring your skis in for a free evaluation and we can give you recommendations for a grind that can maximize their performance.
The Twin Cities’ own Randy Gibbs, former Hopkins HS coach, World Cup and Olympic wax technician and Mantra Wax co-founder will be in the shop on Wednesday, December 10 from 6-8pm to give a wax clinic and introduce his line of pure fluoro powders and liquids. Mantra Wax has been proven on the World Cup and Olympic circuit and we are excited to bring it to you and have Randy here in the shop to deliver a clinic in the way only Randy can.
