“Aren’t you cold all the time?”  Yes, I get that a lot.  Winter camping in the BWCA, what’s it like?  Vast spaces filled with white snow, absence of colors and splashing of the waves against the shore, even the wind sounds different in winter when there are no leaves. Martin Kubik, former BWCA guide and a devoted BWCA trails advocate shares his stories, breaking through ice and then clawing his way out, with tips on turning survival experience into enjoyment. What does winter do to us, to our mind?  Through lens of a camera and re-telling real life stories, he will help you develop skills and a mindset that will safely guide you into and out of the winterland for the rest of your life.  And snowcamping?  It’s fun, really. One key to fun and efficient cross country skis is having good glide.
