Year of the Boot
With the 2004/05 introduction of the new Centrix boot program,
Fischer has leapt to the forefront of Cross Country boot construction.
Designed from the sole up for modern racing technique centrix
boots are available in skate, classic, pursuit, and combi
models. Centrix boots perfectly complement Fischer's race-winning
skis.

Dealers will have a complete selection of Centrix boots by
the first week of October. What you will find at your favorite
Fischer retailer is a boot that has been significantly improved
even from its introduction this spring. With feed back from
World Cup winners Tobias Frederickson and Marit Bjorgen, as
well as American Kris Freeman, all Centrix models have been
reduced in weight by over 80 grams. The sole height has been
lowered by 5 millimeters for increased stability, and the
lacing has been upgraded with additional eyelets to improve
foothold.
These modifications have been added to the basic Centrix
concept of rounded last and frame sole construction that completely
supports the foot unlike any other boot on the market. The
ability to flex forward at the ankle uninhibited encourages
proper modern uphill skating technique. The Centrix rounded
footbed provides a stable platform for a long glide in classic.

Details on Centrix Boots.
With Centrix, Fischer is making a firm commitment to the
SNS binding system. Fischer found through extensive testing
during Centrix development that no other binding offered as
much ski control in both techniques. Especially in skating,
the dual pivot points of the pilot binding allow for a much
more relaxed and less fatiguing skating motion not available
on any other system. Fischer SNS race bindings now complete
the system, making the Fischer RCS ski and Centrix Boot package
the ultimate in race performance and innovation.
Fischer
is chosen by more athletes on the world cup than any other
brand. The successful Fischer race ski line returns for 2004/05
with the RCS series of Skate and Classic models leading the
group. The top-of-the-line RCS skis focus on reduced swing
weight, consistant high quality bases, and flex patterns that
emphasize ultimate glide speed. The RCR skate and classic
models offers near-RCS performance to High School racers or
skiers looking for a ski they will not quickly out grow. Also
returning this year are the SCS models, and the SC at a new
competitive price for the first time skier.
In conclusion, your Fischer retailer has plenty of new toys
and reasons for you to visit their shop. We strongly encourage
you to stop by this fall and try on our exciting new line
of boots and see what this cutting-edge design can do for
your skiing.
