  • Nordic Ski Salesperson: Gear West (Long Lake, MN):

  • Trails Manager: Snow Mountain Ranch (Granby, Colorado):
    With collaboration and direction from the Nordic/Trails Director, oversee all trail operations (both winter and summer) including supervising staff, working with machinery and hand tools, etc. to implement the SMR Trails Plan. Operate winter grooming equipment to provide a quality experience. Will work with and assist the Nordic/Trails Director with the hosting of and running of all trail events for the 12-month season. This will include running, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, biathlon and dog sledding. This is a full-time, year-round, hourly position at $17/hour with generous benefits and located in the heart of the Colorado Rockies.

  • Assistant Nordic Coaches: ISD 196 (Apple Valley, MN):
    The ISD 196 Nordic Ski team (Eagan, Eastview, Rosemount, & Apple Valley High Schools – South Suburban Conference) is seeking applicants for 2 full- or part-time Asst. Coaching positions (Girls Varsity & JV; Boys Varsity & JV). A minimum of 3-years of racing experience or 1-year of coaching experience is required. This 5-6 day/week position runs from mid- November thru mid-February with practices and meets typically scheduled between 3:00-5:30 PM. Lee Borowski Passes Away
November 10, 2018
John McCarthy reports: Lee Borowski passed away on Oct 31st. Borowski was an innovator and a driving force for cross country skiing, nationwide. He was known for his books and videos that basically taught us all how to skate ski and was a coach and mentor to many, including Luke Bodensteiner. There was a memorial service for him Saturday, Nov 10th, at Krause Funeral Homes in Brookfield, Wi.

Loppet Foundation Seeking Bike/Ski Service Partner

The Loppet Foundation is seeking a bike and ski ski service provider to partner on the Loppet's new Trailhead facility in the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board's Theodore Wirth Park. Because this is a public facility the Foundation is required to use a request for proposals (RFP) process. Application deadline is Nov 16th.

Mike Gray Passes On
February 9, 2018
Mike Gray, a big member of the Elk River Nordic community and development of the Woodland Trail system passed away back on January 23rd. Rollie Ring-Jarvi and Dave Anderson pay tribute to him.
