New Products for 2002

Here is a run down on all new YOKO/Toko products for the coming season:
  • Women's Thermo+
This glove is identical to the Thermo+ (our best selling model) except that it comes in 4 Women's specific sizes and is cut narrower throughout the hand and fingers. The YOKO Women's Thermo+ sells for $39. Like all YOKO gloves, this glove is machine wash/dry and carries an unconditional one year warranty
  • 232 Strap
The 232 Strap can be used for rollerskiing or be put on top of a traditional glove in order to use the YOKO 232 system. This greatly reduces the cost of "buying into" the 232 system. The 232 strap costs $38 and carries an unconditional one year warranty like all YOKO products.
  • Red/White Profi
Identical to the popular current Profi model except now also available in a Red/White two-tone.
  • 232 Classic
This glove has been improved in that the palm and sides of hand have a bit of padding which act as both insulation and also to eliminate any possible discomfort from the straps. Also the distance between the grip and the wrist strap is now fully adjustable to allow for a custom fit. The 232 Classic now costs $6 less than during the 00/01 season ($48) and carries the unconditional one year warranty like all YOKO products.
  • 232 Overmitt
This is a super warm overmitt that fits over a 232 glove (such as 232 classic or 232 WS Gore). There is nothing comparable to the advantages that the 232 Overmitt offers because although there is NO WARMER glove anywhere, the attachment to the pole is still optimal.
  • 232 Cork Grip
The YOKO Power Pole now comes standard with a 232 Cork grip. The 232 Cork grip is also available as an extra. The standard 232 grip has come down in price from $54 to $42!
  • Loppet Pole
100% Carbon Fiber pole with 232 grip for $150. The Loppet comes with a slightly larger basket for softer conditions.
  • Mistral Pole
The Mistral has been improved since last year. Now it is a 30% Carbon Fiber/70% Glass Fiber shaft with an effective but not-too-complicated grip/strap that sells for only $50! All YOKO poles are covered by the same unconditional one year warranty that our glove customers have enjoyed.

New TOKO products include:

  • Toko Wax Product Line
Most of the Toko line remains the same. The highly successful Dibloc and World Loppet glide waxes, Carbon Grip waxes, and JetStreams anchor the Toko line.
  • Toko WaxCat Iron
This is a completely redone iron that resembles the Toko WaxCat from 3 years ago, except improved. The base plate is thicker, the thermostat operates at a narrower range, the stop-step dial prevents accidental temperature changes, the cord has a swivel on it, the iron itself is smaller allowing for better fit in wax boxes, the form of the iron is easier to work on skis with, and the corners of the base plate have small grooves to make dripping wax onto the ski base easier. It is simply a much better iron for the same price of $132.
  • Toko Wax Tip Line
The Toko Wax Tip Line has been expanded. This service, which can be reached by dialing 877 TWAX TIP, provides race wax recommendations for about 150 races each winter throughout the country. For the coming year, there are more boxes, resulting in more concise and clear recommendations as well as more races featured.
