Skiers take the Telemark shuttle bus to ski Birkie Trail

Skiers riding the Double-O shuttle for a Birkie Trail workout.
Cross country skiers can enjoy the fun of hassle-free point-to-point skiing on the famous Birkebeiner Ski Trail by taking the bus.

Telemark Resort is sponsoring bus runs from the resort to the half-way rest cabin at the County OO trail crossing. The bus will leave Telemark at 11 am on Saturday, February 17th and will run constantly from 10 am to 2 pm on Wednesday, February 21st, the last official trail training day before the race. Skiers need a daily or season Telemark XC Trail Pass to ride.

Skiers who want to ski to Double O in the same direction as the race can do so by leaving Telemark early enough to make it to the warming cabin by 11:45 am on Saturday the 17th or by 2:45 pm on Wednesday the 21st. If need be they can board the bus at Double O without a pass and purchase one on arrival at Telemark. Trail passes are available from 9 am to 4 pm at the Ski Hut building just outside the lodge.
