    • Jan 5 update 2:
Course inspection tomorrow at 1PM for both skate and classic, and the only course inspection allowed on Saturday morning is from 8AM-9AM and must be classical technique only. Race warm up and wax testing is on an area outside of the race course. Course will be closed after 9AM for race only and course regrooming between 12:30and 1:45 and absolutely no skiing on course between races.

    • Jan 5 update:
This year the Sports Dorm parking lot and the North lot will be reserved for buses and school vans only. Attendants will be on hand beginning at 7:00AM. Once these lots are full, the overflow will be in the South lot. Hopefully this will alleviate some of the congestion in the Sports Dorm and the Chalet. See you this weekend.

    • Jan 4 update:

    • Jan 2 update 2:
We did NOT get enough to run the course in the woods, and have spent most of today figuring out a safe, challenging course to run the meet on. It will be a 2.7 K loop with two major climbs, 75% on man-made snow, returning on the Gold (golf course) behind the timing building (like the relay ) and out for another lap. The skiers will start out going south, loop around the Alpine timing building, climb behind the tubing hill, down and up the North Face Cat Track to the lift and returning down the gold course. The course is safe, challenging, and everyone can use their best skis. Trail passes for training will be $8 for Friday/Saturday. Race is still $13/skier, packet pick up: 1-6PM on Friday in the Sports Dorm, 7-8:30AM on Saturday, Coaches meeting 9AM on Saturday morning.
      - John Finlander, race organization
    • Jan 2 update:
Start list for Mesabi East Invite has been posted!  Start checking the NWS hourly weather graph for the Ridge.
      - Bruce Adelsman
    • Jan 1 update:
We got about 1.5" from this latest storm, unfortunately, not enough to get the course out in the woods on the traditional trails. We are still looking at the 2.7K loop that everyone will ski twice, but I added another hill on the south end, going up and around the tubing hill , (climb is about 20-25m, 70-75 ft. vertical), then back down, finally climbing the North Face Cat Track to the Lift (climb is 40-50m vertical, 120-150 ft) back down the gold (on the golf course), to the stadium. Total Climb per lap 225-250 ft. Not the silver or the gold but it`s better than the John Rose Oval! We need another 3-4 inches to go out in the woods (safely), and I don`t see it happening before Saturday Jan 7th.
      - John Filander, race organization
