Cities Cup/Skiwerx Series Kickoff

Fast Wax is the proud sponsor of the now-cooperatively managed Skiwerx Series and Cities Cup. The Cities Cup (previously the Twin Cities Ski Series), for racers 20 and over, features ten events, with the kick off this Saturday, Dec 14 with the Skinny Santa Solstice Race in Elk River. The Skiwerx Series, for racers 19 and younger, has seven events on the calendar and ends with the Midwest Junior Championships on March 1-2. The first Skiwerx Series race is Twin Cities Championships on January 4th at Battle Creek.

The Minnesota Youth Ski League created and has managed the Skiwerx Series for the past five years and welcomes the opportunity to bring the Cities Cup into the fold for an overall great race experience for all ages. "Many of the events overlap for the Cities Cup and Skiwerx Series, so we felt that it made a lot of sense to strengthen both efforts with cooperative organization", states MYSL's executive director, Amy Cichanowski. She added, "Fast Wax was excited to continue their support of the Cities Cup and to add their support to Skiwerx Series as well."
