FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Entire Vasaloppet Course Groomed and Ready for 2014 Race
Preparation of the course for the 2014 Vasaloppet race has made great progress in the past two weeks. Besides near constant grooming of the Nordic Center and Northern loops because of the frequent snowfalls, the entire 58km, 35km and 42km courses have been groomed.
Work crews first had cleared a large amount of overhanging tress from the early season snowfall so all the race courses from the start to Mora could be groomed.
The start area has also been prepared as well as the 13km start area at Knife Lake.
Because most the Vasaloppet course is on private land, public skiing is available at the Nordic Center and the Northern loops.
Race registration fees increase January 1, so sign up today.
