World Junior/U23 Championships and U18 Nations Guide

Early February brings two big international competitions for some of the top juniors from the US.  And the Midwest is well represented in these competitions! We've collected some resources to help you follow your favorite skiers...

FIS Nordic Junior and U23 World Ski Championships

  • Where: Almaty, Kazakhstan 
  • When: Monday, February 2nd to Sunday, February 8th
    • Note: Almatz is 12 hours ahead of Central Timezone (8 am Midwest, 8 pm Kazakhstan)
  • Midwest athletes: WJC - Alayna Sonnesyn, Kris Bourne, Vivian Hett, Ian Torchia, Tom Bye; U23 - Kyle Bratrud, Ben Saxton, Annie Hart, Deedra Irwin, Paige Schemeber

Nordic Junior Competition (U18 Nations, Scando Cup)
