Elm Creek Wednesday Night Race Results
Conditions: Air Temp 46 F. With no or little wind. The 1.3K course was fantastic, with a little bit of sugar snow on the surface of the base. The Elm Creek Park reserve does a terrific job of maintain their ski trails.
Course: (1.3k loop x4 for the men,s skate race) and 1.3k loop x3 for the women,s skate race and Men,s and women,s classic race.
Summary: This was ECTT largest field in its history of individual races. Sam Meyers from White Bear dominated the night with a double victory in skate and classic. Shad Kraftson from Bayport was only seconds behind Sam and Reid Olson from Mlps. Who Placed third. the three started out strong and remain tough to the finish. Siri Bohacek was the gold winner with Rana Kraftson one second off the gold and Libbe Tuttle took home the bronze. Taylor Radke placed 2nd in the classics race and Colby Boehm was three. 1st. Place for female was Libby Tuttle( 13years old) in the classic race.
With the snow conditions we have a delicate situation, We want everyone to get a chance to ski. We need to preserve our trails and a way to do that is too limit usage at parks to keep it looking good. we need ski teams to please honor this. Be patient think snow, it will come and soon we will all be skiing. Next Big race is the team competition, Dec. 16, at the Elm Creek park reserve. we have great prizes. It will be lots of fun.
