2017-18 Midwest Race Series

Information on Nordic race series with events in the upper Midwest:

  • SuperTour - Standings
    The SuperTour is the primary USSA pro racing series (prize money), with local college teams frequently participating and sometimes combined with JNQ events.  Race series is held across the United States.  

  • American Ski Marathon Series
    A national race series for citizen skiers with over a dozen races held across the US.

  • CXC Junior Cup - Standings
    The USSA race series for juniors generally ages 13 to 19 (U16, U18, U20 divisions), with top regional qualifiers advancing to the Junior National competition or U16 Championships in March.   There are two USSA divisions within the upper Midwest -- Midwest (Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, South and North Dakota, Iowa, and Missouri) and Great Lakes (Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Eastern Pennsylvania, and Kentucky).

  • CXC Marathon Cup - Standings
    A season long series with events in Minnesota, Wisconsin and Minnesota.  Divisions for elite skiers, age groups, and team competition.

  • Skiwerx Series - Standings
    A youth/juniors race series (ages 8-13 / U10, U12, U14 divisions) in the Twin Cities, featuring many of the same events as the Cities Cup.  Series culminates with Midwest Junior Championships.

  • CXC Youth Cup - Standings
    A youth/juniors race series (ages 10-13 / U12, 14 divisions) for the upper Midwest, with some crossover with the Skiwerx Series and additional races in Wisconsin.  Top skiers from the series will be selected for Dream Camp participation.

  • Double Loppet
    Complete 25K or longer events in both the City of Lakes Loppet and Vasaloppet races to earn this award.

  • Weekly Race Series
    Elm Creek Wednesday Night Series (Maple Grove, MN)
    Hoigaards/MYSL Team Sprints (Minneapolis, MN)
    Duluth Wednesday Night Series (Duluth, MN)
    Lapham Peak Series (Delafield, WI)
    Madnorski Race Series (Madison, WI)
