Lake Superior College Cycling Program

Did you know that Lake Superior College has a USA Cycling varsity program? For ambitious student-athletes who want to compete in college, this program is the only one of its kind in the Midwest. With Duluth's strong cycling infrastructure and culture, LSC Cycling is very excited about the opportunities this will present to student-athletes.

LSC Cycling is a nationally competitive Division II collegiate cycling program and a member of the North Central Collegiate Cycling Conference (NCCCC), which includes member schools from Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, and Kansas. LSC Cycling currently competes in the mountain bike discipline and the collegiate season runs from August through October. Collegiate mountain biking consists of four disciplines - cross country, short track cross country, downhill, and dual slalom.

The Lake Superior College Cycling Team was an emerging varsity collegiate cycling program in 2017. In its first year of intercollegiate competition, LSC Cycling produced a strong showing at the 2017 USA Cycling Collegiate Mountain Bike National Championships in Missoula, MT. The team is excited to build on that experience and continue to pursue excellence on and off the bike.

Our goal is to promote the sport of cycling as a healthy lifestyle while providing student-athletes with an environment to grow academically, socially, and athletically. We encourage all riders of any level to join and come out for a ride. All riders receive expert coaching from our professional coaching staff. Joshua Tesch and Nikolai Anikin are veterans in the sport of mountain biking and bring a world of knowledge and experience to the LSC Cycling coaching staff.

Please contact us at [email protected] or [email protected] if you're interested in joining the LSC Cycling Team. If you have any questions or would like any further information, please feel free to contact us.
