FREE BEER FOR ENDURANCE JUNKIES

The Loppet Foundation is promising a pint of Surly to any skier or biker who makes it at least 100 kilometers over the course of the 24 Hours of Wirth - and a free pitcher of beer to any team that makes at least 200 kilometers as a team.

The 24 Hours of Wirth event starts Friday evening at sunset and goes to sunset Saturday - followed immediately by the 24 Hours Toast and a Mardi Gras party in The Trailhead.

"We are really excited about the 24 Hour event," says Loppet Chief of Events John Bussey. "What a great way to commemorate the end of a great season - spend the day skiing your brains out with your best friends - with perfect snow, great trails, and a beer waiting for you at the end . . ."

Skiers may sign up as individuals or relay teams.
