    • Mar 13 update:
We currently have rain! While that is a bummer, the snowmaking loop should be in fine shape by Sunday. It is regularly groomed by PistenBully and has a two-foot+ base of snow. However, we will have to evaluate the quality of the singletrack sections closer to race day. If we can use the singletrack, the bike course will be two laps. If no singletrack, the bike course will be three laps of the snowmaking loop (same as the ski loop). The run will be a slight deviation of the snow making loop cutting out two trail loops (including one good sized hill) to make it a 5K. Note the run is on snow. With the forecast temps after the rain we do expect a fairly solid snow deck, so cross country running shoes should be good. If you wish to spike up that is totally fine. We noticed that at the World Championships in Italy that a lot of people were wearing strap on spikes, which available at most outdoor shops such as Cabela's and Joe's Sporting Goods locally.
