Nov 18 - Birkie Trail (Hayward):
Grooming Scheduling
Conditions: Good base, firming up, lots of skiers!
The Birkie grooming crew is still working on rolling some of the early snow (on the far north end), as well as cleaning up some areas of debris on the very south end from the big fall storm that created all the trail damage (and is now being logged- that will be finishing up Dec 1st). This Weekend (Nov 22) rifle season begins - so be advised - much of the Birkie Trail is on public land that can be hunted. The loops at OO and the trail north to Bodecker Rd (skate/classic) will continue to be groomed - however be advised that there will be hunters in the woods. If you head out, wear blaze orange. Following the end of deer hunting, we will begin grooming the entire trail system, weather permitting.
