Blowing and drifting snow obscure any identifiable skate skiing path made by previous skiiers. Not groomed yet.

Skating lane, skier made in a short loop, ~1+K. Not great, but not bad either and B skis are fine. Leaves continue to fall, thin coverage, a few bare spots that can be dodged. Well within the range of "acceptable" for this early.

Ungroomed but enough traffic for decent skating, especially around the perimeter. Mid-course there are a lot of leaves and less-well defined trails. Several grassy areas but it's all skiiable. Skattered classic tracks or just make your own.

I fishscaled the whole area with my dog Foxy and found decent coverage throughout. Snowpack varied between an inch where windblown and four in the hollows. It might be skateable with rock skis if you choose your route carefully.
