Good conditions for classic on the Grass Lake trails this afternoon. Trails appeared to have been groomed between the winds of Sunday and the inch of light fluff that fell today. A bit of churn from dog walkers from the start of the trail by the upper parking lot until the turn off that goes under Gramsie, but fine after that. A few sections were still relatively soft from the weekend snowfall, but overall quite nice.

When I arrived in the late morning, the trail had not been groomed since before Wednesday's snowfall. The groomer was coming back from rolling the multi-use trail just as I was leaving. Hopefully, they groomed and tracked the ski trails next. It was a beautiful day to be out.

Best conditions these trails have had in 5 years. Tracks were in great shape, and the deck has firmed up in the cold. Only a few dog walker tracks in spots. So nice to be able to ski here again.

Skied south from County F. Tracks were a bit soft, but silky. Poles often penetrated to the ground, but it was a great ski. Fair bit of deer traffic, some dog and human traffic, but no major damage to the trail.

Appeared the trails were groomed with classic tracks yesterday. An ATV or other vehicle has destroyed the tracks on the paved trail section at the south end of the course. (I only skied the south end.) A couple of short sections through the woods east of the paved path survived and are soft but pretty well groomed.
