Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Excellent! Best conditions of the year.
Skated golf course and bluff trails. Excellent coverage and nicely groomed for fast yet easily controlled skiing. The bluff trail is well worth the drive to Red Wing. Improved signage has significantly decreased the longstanding problem with foot and pet traffic.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Good, recently groomed, icy.
This was my first time skiing here. It was groomed nicely for both skate and classic. Low temps made the snow a little slick. I skated up most of the bluff; the views are pretty good but it's some tough skiing.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
With an additional 3-4 inches of snow the trails are in good shape. Al trails have been groomed. Very little debris showing through. The new groomer has been doing a great job and the volunteer groomers have been fantastic. The bluff trails have some spectacular views.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Very good skating on the bluff and excellent on the lower golf course loop. Track looked good to very good on both sections.
I skated both lower and upper sections and they were wonderful! Current conditions are better than we had at any time last winter. The vistas from several spots on the bluff set this trail apart from any other trail. It is also a darn fun trail with its numerous but very manageable twists and turns and rollers that follow the outline of Sorin's Bluff.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: Good for skate, fair to good for classic.
The wooded trails were in great shape, except for some damage from dog walkers and those fat bikes. (grrr). The trails out on the golf links were in excellent shape. The cold temps and sunshine made for an awesome morning of skiing. I can't recommend these trails enough. Worth the drive down from the cities.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ B skis ]
Conditions were quite good. I classic skied the bluff trails and there tracks were in good shape and just a little bit soft. There was very few sticks or grass peaking through. The entire trail system has been groomed for both classic and skating. Quite a few people out enjoying the fresh snow.

Grooming Secondhand
[ Good skis ]

Already nicely firm for skating. I skied the lower (golf course) loop.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle Secondhand
[ Good skis ]
Conditions: New Snow, about time! Excellent conditions. Roughly 10" fresh.
Lowlands area had been groomed earlier in the day with 2" of fresh powder on top of skate skiing area. Per local lore, going to be groomed again tonight so the upcoming week might be excellent. Did not make it to Memorial Bluff so unaware of conditions up top. Decent classic track already set on lowlands.
