Had a nice ski again tonight at Afterhours, more-or-less crust skiing. Trails held up pretty well after the warm day yesterday. I skied about 15 km of the trail system, using B skis actually. As expected, about a 50 yard bare ground spot opened up on White Pine Loop, so you might avoid that loop if you come. River Loop had one 5-meter bare spot I walked across with my skis on. A few other spots had some water to ski past or through. Probably 99% snow coverage still. Downhills were icy tonight, so be careful out there, as there is dirt and debris (mainly in the pine areas) to maybve trip you up. If you hope to get one more ski in, I think we'll have skiable conditions for a while yet - for skating anyway. It was fast 'n fun tonight!

Skied both yesterday and today at Afterhours. Skiing was good to very good. The grooming from Monday by the state forest helped improve conditions from over the weekend, with the skate deck in good shape (no tracks however). Thanks for grooming again guys, and thank you especially for the great trail conditions you provided all winter! The trails have some dirty areas in the pine tree sections, but still there is 99.95% snow coverage. There is 2-3 spots on White Pine Loop starting to open up, but I still didn't need to take skis off or walk across bare ground today. After tomorrow's warmer temps predicted, I'd expect that to change as these openings will expand and one spot on River Loop could open up too. But since there is no rain in the immediate forecast and nighttime temps look to be below freezing mostly, I'd expect we should have decent skiing for a while. Best ski times are during the freeze-thaw/thaw-freeze transition periods. Lots of snow yet!

The skate lanes have been freshly groomed this morning with good trail base left. Expect some equipment ruts in the trails due to Gator tracks breaking through a few weeks ago. No new track has been set. There are a few bare spots starting to show up on White Pine and scattered areas of light debris throughout the trail system, but overall good skiing conditions still remain. Get out and enjoy some late season skiing!

Tracks have softened, but 6-10 inches of firm base on the skate deck remain. Very good spring conditions. Cooler and cloudier weather should extend skiing.

The main trail system has been tracked today. The tracks range from thin and crumbly to full depth. The skate lanes still have some equipment ruts in them but are flat and nice in other areas. Sally's Classic trail is still tracked from last week. Grooming plans: Until the temperatures cool or we receive any new workable snow we will be suspending our grooming efforts. The warm days and cold night cycles have made it increasing difficult to maintain a high quality ski experience. Thanks.

The main trail system was groomed this morning in an attempt to smooth the ruts from the skate deck. Most of the ruts filled, but with loose clumpy snow. Grooming plans: We will re-work the skate lanes Tuesday morning and attempt to set track on the main trail system. Sally's Classic trail is still set from last week and appears to be in good condition from weekend use. Warm temperatures this week may limit our ability to lay fresh track on Sally's Classic. There are no bare spots in the trail system, but some light debris in pine/spruce dominant areas.

Our trails received about 3-4 inches of wet snow this morning. We were able to groom the entire trail system, but only able to track Sally's Classic Trail. There will be groomer track ruts in some areas of the skate lanes and some uneven track depth and quality on Sally's Classic. If temperatures cool enough tonight the trails may set up and be decent for Saturday morning.

The trails were groomed and tracked last on Tuesday. Rain and warm temperatures will limit our grooming efforts. Conditions will be wet and very soft. We will check the trails Friday morning for possible grooming. While we have a lot of snow base left, conditions will not be ideal for skiing.

We have rolled and corduroy groomed the main trail system. The classic trail has been rolled only. Warm afternoon temperatures limited our grooming ability today. Grooming plans: The trails will be tracked and skate lanes reworked Tuesday morning. Conditions should still be good for skate skiing. We are planning to groom on Friday, conditions permitting.
