Conditions are fair with 5" of new heavy snow. Sorry we did not have time to get to this trail this week. We had to groom Anvil today with the new snow, will return to grooming operations next week.

Skied here via the Anvil System. Found more recent grooming, with conditions that were not as scary fast, and provided good control. Not all of the usual trails are groomed, but the Pat Shay loop was in good shape. Track was firm. There are a few face slapping branches out there, so be careful. Roller Coaster is a short section, but one of the most fun anywhere! Thanks again to the groomers for keeping this trail in great shape! Skiing is great, So many memories here!

Came over to Nicolet North from the Anvil East Trail so skied about 14 miles total today! Some pine and fir litter in good hard tracks and deck was very solid. Some of the best glide I have ever had in spite of the slowing by the litter.

Absolutely great conditions today at Nicolet North. Skied the Pat Shay Loop. Did Tom's Hill and it was lightning fast. Pat Shay had nice combed surface with deep track set. A very swift ski today with conditions optimum. 10 degrees out.

Morning
Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
Great conditions overall. Nicely groomed for classical skiing. We encountered only a few, easily avoided spots of exposed dirt in the otherwise perfect tracks. It is really good to see this great trail system getting such attentive and timely care from the Forest Service.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Good condition with 4" base groomed and tracked Butternut, Roller Coaster, Toms Hill, Pat Shay and Narrow Gage. Some debris under thick hemlock stands get out and enjoy all this peace and quiet with very little use this season. Nice deep tracks in most areas.
