Trails are very icy with some standing water. They are skiable, but certainly not ideal. There are some ruts and leaves are starting to show through. We could really use some snow.

Icy and rutted, needs grooming. Obviously with warm temps yesterday and today skiers were on it when it was soft. By 5 pm when I skied it had frozen over. There is enough snow to be edgeable for skating, but the ruts tended to grab my skis. Plenty of base so one hopes grooming will happen to make it pleasant again. Overall, I am happy to have some snow as Madison is a desert.

Ditto yesterday: Excellent skating, though some areas are starting to get skied down a bit. Excellent, clean classic tracks.

Excellent conditions. Skating is firm, packed powder with good edging and fairly fast snow, especially in the sun. Classic tracks are deep, clean and firm. The only exception is the steepest few hills are inexplicably not tracked. Overall it just does not get better here at Tower Ridge.

Plenty of new snow, trails are in very good condition but still a little soft so they are a little slow. The groomer is out and the trails should be even better after they can make a few more passes. Great morning to be out.
