Arrived when they opened at 9:00 am, and was treated to freshly-renovated and groomed trails on many of the core trails. It was firm and fast for the first couple of hours, with deep-set classic tracks, very little debris, and excellent control. Areas in full sun were slowing down by about 11:30 am. Bright sunshine, great trail -- a superb spring ski. Tomorrow's the last day of the season for ABR, so get there if you can!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
We have been grooming daily and resetting tracks most days. We reset all the single tracks 25 km today with the Bearcats and Ginzu Groomers and drag. We groomed another 25 km with the Pisten Bullies. We have a 3 foot snow base and we will be grooming daily until we close this Sunday, March 24th at 5 PM. Make sure you check in the chalet to see what is groomed. We are not grooming all 75 km daily. Discounted Season Passes for next season are on sale until April. We are open at 9 AM daily and close for skiing at 6 PM, the Ski Shop closes at 4 PM.

Awesome spring skiing- sunny, 36 degrees, excellent classical track everywhere we skied. We drove up to ABR because we knew what to expect in regards to the grooming - best tracks available. They got 8 inches of snow since the two day melt down and tracks were groomed to perfection.

Skied waxless skis on the classic-only Hemlock, Jack Pine, and White Pine Trails this morning. Perfect conditions after a cold night on recently groomed trails that were in excellent shape with little to no leaf/needle debris. Angela and Eric have a great facility here and do a fantastic job grooming, with excellent customer service to boot! Thanks guys!

Excellent skate conditions. Plenty of snow and meticulous grooming resulted in a perfect deck for skating. Classic tracks look to be holding up fine as well. For now, spring skiing heaven.

Classic skied waxless skis from 1:00 to 4:45. Trails had been freshly groomed in the morning. Fresh track set throughout, and had been hardly skied yet. Very good conditions with good kick and pretty good glide, though glide should improve after tonight's cold temperatures. Got a bit soft in sunny spots by later in the day, but overall a very good classic ski day on Tamarack 2 Track, Tamarack 2 Way, Otter, and Sunset. Skate deck looked great, too, when crossed by the classic trails with nary a skier on most of it.

Soft snow conditions with continued flurries at ABR Sunday afternoon. They have heaps of snow to work with and groomed on Sunday morning. Ongoing snowfall covered some of the classic trails making them a bit slow but it was still a winter paradise. No oak leaves in the tracks or other natural debris. This is exactly what classic skiing should be!

Plenty of snow here! All trails groomed since the most recent snowfall. I was skating. With temps in the single digits, things were very slow and not much glide. Portions were also soft since the snow is so new. A fantastic day with good ski conditions!

Classic skied all of the classic only trails. Steady snowfall was filling up tracks, however, it was a winter wonderland. Snowladen trees made it beautiful. About six inches had fallen when I left at 4pm and it was still snowing hard.

Grooming

What a great day of grooming for the crew and skiing for the guests! We groomed 73 km this morning we had 3 Pisten Bullys out and a Ski doo Expedition (on the single track). The new 2 -3 inches of snow mixed in well with the old snow and skiing was great. We had the 2nd grade classes here today, Elm Hurst Ski and Bike Club, and a family that has been coming here for years, with their daughter Mia 3 yrs old who enjoyed riding co-pilot with her mother Amber.
