County Rd 3 between Hwy 23 and Munger trail overpass. Shoulder of lightly trafficked road, offering 3K climb (6K round trip). (Submitted by Jim Farrell) Pros: The trail offers a 3K climb that requires multiple technique shifts as the grade changes (use 'em if you've got 'em.) The pavement on the traffic lane is 'good enough.' The locals roller ski against the traffic, so they can use the road and safely get out of the way of traffic when it comes. A favorite of GGSA for training and video sessions. Cons: It is a road, after all, offering marginal scenery. Also, the shoulder, though wide, is marred by cracks perpendicular to travel which are disconcerting, for fear of being pitched forward. You get used to it, knowing you can ride all the bumps out. No one fell during our two sessions.
