Notes:   Spidahl Ski Gard (farm in Norsk) is a private touring center located in sugar maple hills four miles south of Maplewood State Park. It has trails groomed for classical and skate skiing with ski and snowshoe rentals available. The owners, Cindy and David Spidahl, love to ski and it shows in the trail layout and grooming.

	Conditions: Excellent for both skate and classic - firm base, fresh snow on top - groomed to perfection. Skied at Spidahl's today for the first time in four years. A great time, I skied Speedy's and Skidalen Trails several times in both directions. The recent snow event combined with wind left snow stuck to one side of all the trees, winter wonderland! Wonderful hosts David and Cindy made for a great day. Treats from the City Cafe Bakery topped it off! Super ski experience today. Photos:   (James Wellbrock)

	Conditions: Sunny, mid 20's, wind action from south, silky, sugary snow. Snuck down to Spidahls to catch the Ottertail Invite classic race. Conditions were great and ideal place for classic. Super fun trails, reminds me of southern Norway. Photos:   (Jay Richards, Maplelag Resort)
