Beautiful grooming conditions out at Rock Lake today. Two inches of fresh snow to work into the base! With the colder temperatures the trail should set up great. Beat the cold, come out in the afternoon and enjoy the extra amount sunlight we are getting these days!

3-4 more inches of fresh snow have been groomed in. Entire trail was tracked. Some areas still have some debris (leaves & needles) from the high winds over the weekend but overall the trail is looking great. Plenty of great skiing yet to be had! Come out and put in a few K's and get an early jump on your Birkie training!

About an inch of new snow covered the trail from Thursday night over fresh grooming from the day before. Joanie and I skied the 16k loop, plus the Rock Lake loop for about 18k total around midday. Trail has a nice flow with rolling hills and lots of straight run-outs on hills. Conditions were good with solid pole plants.

Rock Lake trails received another 12 inches of beautiful snow this week. The trail were packed on Wednesday, and all loops were groomed on Thursday morning. The 4 Km cut across is a little rough in places, but otherwise the conditions are excellent.

Recently groomed with a couple inches of fresh on top. Fun conditions on these well layer out trails. We had never skied these old school classic trails, but really enjoyed the flow in a winter wonderland. Pleasant striding sections, short punchy herringbone hills, and lots of enjoyable down hills with good run outs. Yet another great Midwest ski trail.

Rock Lake trails are open and groomed! Again, thank you for your patience during the government shutdown. Rock Lake trails were packed on Wednesday, and then 9 more inches of new snow was added from Thursday's snowstorm. All loops were packed with the snowmobile and then groomed today. The tracks set up nicely with the cold temps. The snow base is about 11 inches and firming up nicely! Please take caution with hard pole plants, as you could punch through since the trail was packed and groomed today. This is a beautiful classic ski trail system. Get out there this weekend, avoid the crowds and connect with nature!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
The trail head parking lot has been plowed. We appreciate your patience during the government shutdown, and we will work diligently to get the trails open and groomed as soon as we can. There is about 10-12 inches of snow out there. Rock Lake ski trails are planned to be groomed the week of February 3. For now, if you are feeling adventurous and are heading out there expect a backcountry experience.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Rock Lake has received about 5-6 inches of new snow. The 2K and 4K loops were groomed with tracks set. The snow is thin in places especially under the pines and there is a lot of debris on the trail. The tracks have a lot of leaves, sticks, and pine needles in them, so rock skis are recommended if you head out there this weekend!
