Notes

Small park near the end of the Gateway Trail. There is beautiful scenery with trails winding through pine forest, and near small lakes and picturesque farms. The course is quiet, sheltered, and has a lot of fun roling hills. Most of the terrain is intermediate in difficulty.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Needs a good grooming. Classic tracks filled with oak leaves and pine tree debris. North Loop open area drifted over. Groomer tracks on the downhills makes them rough and exciting. Hopefully, it will be groomed soon.

Firsthand: Classic
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Excellent conditions at Pine Point today. Power Grip Blue worked well at about sunny 20F. Minor amount of debris (oak leafs). Classical track very good. Surprisingly, some of the gradual uphills and downhills were not tracked for classical. The new routes were interesting.

Observation
[ Trails Open: All ]
Walked my dog on all of the East aide of the Gateway Trail (careful to stay off the skate deck, as I'm an avid skier too and appreciate when people are respectful of the groomed trails). Lots of classic skiers out! Trails looked to be decent for both skate and classic! Looks like it was groomed a few days ago. So pretty packed down from weekend traffic and fast from drop in temps, but not bad! And impressed by how few footprints/dog prints there were on the deck (minus that guy that walks right down the middle in a few spots). Overall pretty good, considering these trails are often shared between walkers/snowshoers and skiers! One trail on the West side pretty banged up, as you can see from images.
