The entire trail system had been groomed the day before and I was one of the first ones to ski the freshly groomed trails. The track was a little soft so conditions were actually better after a few skiers had firmed it up some. The Big River trail (blue) had been rolled but not tracked. Conditions were good to very good other than the blue trail which was a bit of a struggle. It was a wonderful late season outing.

We received another 6" of snow last night, so we have an open ground base of 28" and a solid ski base on the trails, which were groomed today. Conditions are perfect!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails are still open and skiable. Morning is best before temps warm to above freezing. Still helathy snowbase, and trails were last groomed on Friday9. Wind has blown some debris (leaves, needles, pinecones) on some portions, but generally excellent.

There seems to be a little more snow the further north you go. These classical trails provide a very casual easy ski. The scenery along the river is spectacular. Trail conditions were fair to good except where the trail is shared with the snowshoe track. There the track was completely wiped out by the snowshoes which made it difficult for skiing.
