Shout out to Brown County and Scott Putman for late season grooming. Skated the camp tonight and was impresssd with how good it was. Only risk to skis is some sticks which can be avoided or better yet picked up by skiers passing by.

[ Rock skis ]
As of 5:30 pm, no rolling after we received another 3 inches last night and today on top of the 10" on earlier in the week. The skater I spoke to as he was packing up said it was a rough skate - slow and uneven. For a strider like myself, I benefited from those out earlier today who made a very skiable track but it was fragile. If you stride, be ready for iciness early tomorrow and sticky places like adjoining the clear cut where Pines breaks off the main trail when the sun gets high. The snowshoe trails had snow fence across the trail. Park website said fat bike might be open - I have no knowledge on that. Too bad this snow did not come a month ago, but it was a nice early evening today.

I skated maples and birches during the afternoon. There is very good snow cover. You could use good skis without any problem. The trails had been groomed and are starting to firm up. There are some soft spots and conditions were slow. Very pretty and trees are covered with snow.

Winter Storm Claire re-opens the Camp! With appreciation to the groomers, late season skiers will experience full coverage for skaters and ski-able, shallow tracks for the striders. I skied the lighted trail tonight in 28 degree, windless conditions. The tree's draped in white. Enjoy. Carpe Skiem!

Thank you grooming crew! For those of us that skate-skied today, once we made out the first .75K, we were rewarded with the fruits of your hard work. The main streets were all in great shape, the hill section of the Maples was simply fantastic, PERS loop was good, and the far reaches off of the Rifle Range trail were in top shape. Given recent weather conditions, you could have thrown in the towel. You didn't, and we simply need to Thank You. Well done....hoping for snow and cold. Carpe skiem.

Great conditions for the inaugural Bay Nordic Biathlon! Snow was thin, but complete coverage, no rocks. Good skis are fine. Some icy spots, easily avoided. Groomers had worked it up to a very good, granular, corn, fast and skiable. I only skied the biathlon loop, so I can't speak to rest of the system. The biathlon was well-organized. Great job, Green Bay!

Best session of the year! Hard deck under newly groomed corduroy (groomer was still out when I left) with a dusting of new snow on top. Skied Maples Trail on the fast surface. No debris and I only noticed one thin spot the skate lane. Classic tracks looked thin, but plenty of classic skiers out there. Thanks staff!

Comments confined to lighted trails. Classic track was shallow, but in moderately good shape. Some wash outs, but nothing that caused a problem. Thanks to the groomers for making an enjoyable track for classical skier from minimal, very dry snow. Two degrees + dead calm + bright stars = great night for a handful of skiers all commenting on how beautiful the camp is.

Very nice skate skiing conditions at the RFC! Solid deck, great pole plant, 100% open for skaters. Classic technique skiers will be greeted with very shallow tracks. There was a dusting (1/3 inch) of snow during the overnight. Enjoy. Should be a great weekend for skiing, Carp Skiem!
