Great crust skiing on the ungroomed trails after 7 pm. Much better than earlier in the week as the snow/ice has compacted. 100% coverage with just a few bare spots. About 2-3" of very high dense snow left. My latest ski outing ever anywhere. What a great sunset, and I skied under the moon and stars until 9:30. Beyond epic for April 20th!

Best classic ski conditions of the year at Greenbush today. Arrived at Greenbush at 6:50 am. to find 2 inches of fresh snow. Temp was 20 degrees. No grooming but I was able to follow a skied in trail with two inches of fresh snow on top. My skins worked fine but were starting to ice up a little when I finished skiing at 9:30 am. Take your classic skis as skating looked soft.

Not groomed, very good skier made tracks on Purple and Black. Campground has been plowed which wiped out some of the Brown trail. Red and Pink were slower due to few previous skiers. Great kick and glide on a solid base, 3" of heavy fluff where not skied in. Lots of downed branches, a handful of trees, and pine needles in the usual spots. Probably the best classic skiing of my season. Big smiles on the few other skiers I encountered. Get it before it's gone!

Ungroomed, maybe 8 inches of wet snow. I followed a good skied in classic track on Purple. There were a few downed trees. Good coverage and great to be skiing on April 16!

Bonus ski season in April! Grooming on Friday allows decent skate skiing on about 6 miles of loops. Small sections of ground are coming through. Traditional skiing is better in the back purple section where it has not been groomed. Several skiers have set tracks the old fashion way, by skiing it. Ungroomed snow is still several inches deep. Enjoy it!

Most of the trails were groomed today. The green and far end of the purple were not. A track was laid, but about half of them are too thin to use. I used my back country skis because I was not expecting the trails to be groomed. I wish I would have brought my rock skate skis. I skied the brown, pink, red and short purple. Only a few bare spots. Conditions will definitely depend on the temperature the next few days.

I skied purple and some sort of purple green combo. About 75% of the trails are still in great shape and lovely. However, the bare spots are no longer avoidable in at least 5 places (skis had to come off), and there are many very very thin spots and debris lurking in that other 25%. I wouldn't go again... instead I'm calling it a season. The groomers did magic with this though!

I skied the red, purple, green and brown this morning starting around 8:45. All trails were skiable but they are some bare spots, ice and ruts. The downhill on the purple to the marsh is rough and will only get worse in the afternoon sun today.
The good news is the groomer laid a skate deck from the beginning of the green trail to the first purple cutoff. It was beautiful (see photo). You can avoid the purple hill by taking this cutoff.
The groomer had been out this morning. There were a few spots he didn't get and the contrast with the freshly groomed section is remarkable. A fresh groom in the morning after overnight freezing temperatures makes all the difference in the world. Thank you groomer!

Skied at 8:30 AM, skating. Groomer has scratched up the skate Lane, definitely late spring ski conditions. The warmer sun is taking it's toll, especially on the south facing areas. Need to be done skiing mid morning before it gets soft and sticky. Classic track has numerous open spots to the dirt.

I parked right off the road and skated 2 purple loops. Some of the downhill corners took me by surprise as they are icy and rutted making them difficult to navigate. I'd say 2/3s of purple is in good shape. The other third is fair and consists of bare spots (still mostly avoidable), and the iciness I described. Debris in the pines section. I was happy to be on my B/rock skis. While I can't go out tomorrow, I was thinking it would still be in good shape, though I'd wait until it started to warm a bit so some of those icy ruts may soften. Also, when I was finishing my purple on the two way section, I could see the groomer had been through (surprising given how minimal the base is), but the icy spots still weren't much better even with that.
