Thunder sleet. 50 mph wind. Sticks and leaves. Break your own trail. I think spring skiing is overrated. :)
There's enough snow depth that skiing is possible with touring skis and a sense of humor. I gave up after 10 minutes. The snow is dense, so crust skiing might be possible if temps drop. I'll come back if they groom.

Tough conditions at Hiawatha this morning. The wind was howling, and no trail. Heavy snow with a break-through crust meant it was mostly snowshoeing on skis! Let's hope they can get the groomers going one last time.

Not great conditions. This skate deck is pretty drifted over. The classic tracks are damaged in most places and non-existent in many places. On the bright side, the trail was not icy anywhere, as I thought that it might be. (The snow was surprisingly dry.) And there were no bare spots and very little debris beyond the odd oakleaf. Overall, worth it for me to get outside in the sun, despite pretty poor trail conditions.

Ski trails all groomed and looking good. Classic tracks were machine-set this morning and should be good! 1k, 2k, and 4k loops are good. A little bit of minimal drifting in the wind, but should not be a problem.

Skated last night and classic skied this morning. Looks like it was groomed in between. Thanks! Conditions are good. The classic track is generally great all around, being just a bit out of parallel, like maybe the machine was having issues or something, at the beginning of the loop only. There are now two sets of track most of the way around. The base of the interior track isn't quite as smooth. But on the outside track, right hand pole plants are a little tricky because the pole sinks too deep into the ungroomed snow. Anyway, no real complaints. I had a ton of fun. The skate deck looked great all the way around this morning, and it was quite good last night even before they groomed it again.

Skate deck is nice and firm. Great conditions. Classic tracks are machine-set! Our groomer has been fixed and we can lay tracks again. Also cleaned up the walking trail on the left. That left trail is for walkers, snow shoe-ers, bikers, anything that includes dogs (including ski-joring), etc.

Was able to groom a nice wide skate deck after Friday's new snow. Looks really good out there. Sadly, the classic tracks cannot be set with our current groomer situation. We are as frustrated as you, and we are working to get this fixed ASAP. Thank you for your patience. The walking trail/dog trail/biking trail has been rolled and is also open for business.

Very poor conditions for classical tracks. The last time set was Monday, whereas the skate deck was rolled once after the 2 inch snow Tuesday. So, with use and the snow fall 75% are very poor. Only along the north segment along 43rd St is there a track that held up very good. I hope with the new snow the groomers will set new track.

Rolled out the walking path this morning, and groomer the full set of trails, and dropped classic tracks as well. Should be 100% open and great ski conditions. (Photo prior to grooming)
