[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Hidden Valley trails survived the thaw and rain. Temps are back below freezing. Our deep base along with a half inch of fresh dry snow have created superb conditions. Leave your klister at home, hard wax conditions forecasted for this weekend.

Beautiful. Conditions are wonderful. We made the drive up to ski Hidden Valley. The 4 hours in the car was worth it. The grooming and trail network is phenomenal.

Awesome conditions. Great grooming as usual, which we've come to expect at Hidden Valley. Lots of people from out of the area skiing the trails as well as locals and the high school team. Skate skied every trail for skating. All classic only-trails appear to be open and well groomed. As good as it gets!

Great condition. Packed powder track, blue wax day. Wonderfully groomed track and the skating lane was excellent as well. Nice to at least visit winter before returning home to the Cities tomorrow.

Awesome! Did two loops on Bambas. Tracks set for classic and looks like plenty of skate skiers out as well.

[ Trails Open: Most, B skis ]
After several weeks of drought and some warm afternoons, during which the trail snow cover got thinner and dirtier, we are back to really good B ski skating, thanks to a new half-inch or so of flurries and expert grooming. Not enough snow for setting tracks yet, and some of the inner trails are not groomed yet, but otherwise skiing at Hidden Valley is a real treat!

Skied all morning and it was really good, just a rare easily avoided icy patch on most trails. The top of Bambas was groomed but the deck was particularly thin there. The groomer had done a beautiful job of creating a 2-3 cm deck over a solid (but not icy) base that had survived the recent rain. The base undulates a little, as you would expect in early season. No track set, but I saw at least 5 classic skiers that appeared to be doing just fine. This trail is nicely maintained. Thanks Ely Nordic!
