2018-2019 season
Reports 1 to 10 of 24    Month: Mar | Feb | Jan | Dec

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic
[ Good skis ]
Beautiful sunny day for spring skiing on the South trail. Difficult to wax for these conditions.. there was everything from nice corn snow to hard or very soft tracks, depending on exposure to the sun. But the tracks are holding up well and there is still lots of packed snow on the trail. A big thank you to the crew that maintains these trails! Get out and enjoy the snow while it while it lasts!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Most, Good skis ]
A couple of snowfalls and a rainstorm have accumulated since the last grooming, an unusual mixture of snow and ice should set up well. The North and South Loops were groomed with the deep track setter for classic skiers only. The Ridge trail was groomed for skating and classic techniques. We are expecting logging activity soon on the West Trail and it is left ungroomed. These are the deepest snow conditions in years.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Classic Secondhand
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
After an attempt at finding some good classic skiing tracks, sounds like grooming transport equipment is broken and then all of it hauled up north to the Birkie. Therefore, no grooming for a while. Tracks are skied in by adventurous folks. Great for your touring skis.

Beautiful soft snow. Very thankful to Steve who once again groomed the trail after us. A bit deep for herringboning up a small hill on the north loop. Amazing skiing.

14 inches of new snow made grooming a challenge. All trails were groomed with the deep track setter. Excellent classic skiing conditions. Trails are soft. No skate deck at this time, lots of side by side tracks on the West and Ridge trails.

Good for skating, good to fair for classic. Two to three new inches of snow Thursday is groomed on skate decks of the Ridge and West trails. Not enough snow to set tracks on classic trails but there are skier set tracks.
