2017-2018 season

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
It's been in the mid 30s the past 12 hours so the trails were a bit slow. This warm up will hopefully be quick and help pack the trails even more. They groomed and tracked up to 510 and I made it to 19k. The skate lane was very firm and the always problematic hills just after 17k were much smoother than this time last year. Trail is really shaping up for the race in a couple of weeks!

The fresh snow we got yesterday was much needed. You can finally use your race skis on the trails. The skate lane was incredibly slow and soft with the single digit temps. Tracks were set on most, but not all trails. It will take a couple of days for the trails to firm up. Hopefully temps warm up into the teens sometime soon... Classic skiing looks to be the way to go for now.

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
The snow has finally arrived! All trails were in desperate need of new snow the past couple of days. There was 2-3 inches of fresh snow when I started skiing and more was coming down. It was slow going in the powder, but the downhills were fun.
