Fabulous day of skating at Flambeau Hills. If you haven't been making the drive to the hills due to inconsistent grooming, I think tomorrow morning should be fantastic skiing! This trail was in great shape.

I contacted the parks dept and they said they might have staff there over the next couple of days to groom? They have had very limited staff available this winter and have had some equipment issues they said so the trail have not been kept up to our typical standards as in years past. So I'll be going to Mukwonago instead!

I drove out to Flambeau to ski today but sadly yet again only the snowmobile trails were groomed. So disappointing! The ski trails have not been groomed for sometime as there is a lot of snow on them. This is the third time we wasted a trip out to Flambeau to ski only to find the trails aren't groomed with any consistency anymore. I would highly recommend going to Mukwonago, Hayward, Cable, etc as an alternative.

We skied the Rim Creek Loop a few times, both skate and classic. The skate deck has been rolled and groomed, and classic tracks have been set. It was a little soft in spots and the skate deck is a little narrow in areas as well but there was no debris and overall conditions were good and it was a great day of skiing! From what I could see it looked like the other trails were freshly groomed as well. Thank you groomers!

I talked with the Parks & Rec about the ski trails and was told the trails will be rolled and groomed and should be ready by this weekend! Hooray!

Sadly the trail is not groomed or rolled on the north (hwy 70) side. I drove out to trailhead around noon today. Such a disappointment.
