Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
The skate lanes look to be in very good condition, classic tracks o.k. Grooming plan: The skate lanes will be re-groomed early tomorrow. We are open to the public, and there is a drop box at the kiosk.

Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Very good conditions yet today. A little debris on the east trail and in spots in the woods, but not a problem. Hopefully the solid base will hold up a little longer yet. It was starting to get soft as the sun came out around noon.

Stellar skating on firm, flat corduroy base - thanks to Gerry Gensch. Classic track looked great as well. A real treat to ski on conditions like this in March. Kudos to all local groomers - you keep us coming back!

Few things are more fun than skating with the guy who grooms after he's laid down corduroy. Skating deck is very, very good over the entire course. Classic tracks are fair to good. Sent everywhere, kind of mushy in places but very skiable. Great work, Jerry.

Jerry has worked his magic and the trails are in very good condition! There are a few spots at low points that are icy, but very skiable.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle Secondhand
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Skated everything today, including the wooded loops, east and west, and 98% was very good. There are a few patches of ice sticking through the otherwise solid deck, but they're all small. The only one that covers almost the width of the trail is at the bottom of Truck Hill where it emerges from the woods and one can go right or left around the prairie. I was very happy using racing skis. The classic tracks are not as high quality, but Jerry said if there's more snow he'll reset. Great grooming.

Very good to excellent conditions at Fox Hills! The little bit of snow we received Tuesday night helped cover up a lot of the debris and created a lot more control. There are a few low lying areas where the ice is poking through, but other than that, the trails are excellent.

[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Did most of the trails, I went before grooming was done. Despite icy patches, the classic tracks were very good (due to snow powder retained in the tracks). However descents on the steeper sections were hairy due to ice (would have been better if I had metal edges).
