[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
This trail was widened this Fall to accommodate skate skiing. While well covered, fun and fast today, significant roots and branches from the excavation are still poking through the coverage in many places. While those are entirely avoidable, a couple of the road crossings still show dirt and gravel; hence the B ski Rating. I personally tip toed across all roads without a even a scratch on the skis, but it's probably best to just unclick and walk across until at least one more storm passes -- Good skis if you do. The trail is also quite lumpy in most places making the descents both exhilarating and a bit sketch. For the most part this trail has moderate grades mixed with a few very short, but very fast hills and climbs. Just under 400 ft. of elevation gain in 7.5K. I laid first tracks on the snow that fell Wednesday night.
