Warm temps over the weekend, and rain on Monday set back ski trails. Snow late Monday to early Tuesday allowed some material to work with. One pass was made thru the trail system to pack and track. Warm weather this coming weekend will likely bring bare ground. You can ski the trails, just don't bring your best skis and know that conditions are less than ideal.

Trails are open, however after the warm temps and rain that are a bit thin. 1/2" of snow on top of frozen / ice base underneath. No tracks, except for previous users. Use your old skis, not your best skis.

Base re-packed today. Occasional bare spots and dirt. Groomer tried to repair ruts to the trails caused by someone driving off-road on the trails. Need more snow to fully repair and to set a track. Still some skiers and snowshoes out enjoying today.

The Yellow trail near Pike's Peak flowage has impacted by someone driving a 4x4 vehicle down it. We will address this issue, and re-groom when temperatures are a bit more moderate.

Volunteer groomer returned in at 3 pm this afternoon. Started to warm up and get sticky. Trails around Pike's Peak Flowage (Red and Yellow) are packed and tracked. All other trails are just packed due to snow depth and weather conditions. Snowshoe trails and sledding hill are also packed. This should make a great base. Planning to track all trails next grooming.
