Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
2.5 inches of snow last weekend. Nothing during the week. Several bare patches (didn't know how much base was gone, so attempted to groom the weekend snow). Only groomed the southern half-loop skating lane. Where its good...its good, where its bad...its horrid. Rock skis a must and some walking on bare ground. Hope you all had fun this year! Will only groom again if 5 or more inches fall, followed by a cold snap.

Observation
[ Trails Open: Most ]
Viewed the trails on Thursday and the photos show snow cover still. 1/2 inch of snow Wednesday night, but nothing Thursday or on Friday. Skate skiing the best skiing now with icy conditions under the coating of snow.

[ B skis ]
As of 2:00 pm, still 99% coverage on all striding tracks and skate deck. Slow and tacky, but definitely skiable.

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
My husband and I skied along with the state-bound Brained Boys Nordic (Section 8) Champion Ski Team and many others on the trail before the temps went above freezing. From "exquisite" conditions reported below on Thursday to very good to excellent conditions this morning. Tracks still very good despite the 44 degree temp on Friday.

Wonderful conditions on all trails. Nice variety for skating and classic tracks. Beautiful trail system. With temps warming near freezing by the 2 pm we found snow getting packy. Will return to this gem of a trail system. Kudos to the groomers.
