Fantastic conditions. We were among the first to ski the trails after the groomer did his work and the conditions were really good. And after we were done he asked for our feedback to show they really care. You could not ask for a better day.

Skate skied the main loop + Cook's Run at Northwoods this morning. There was a fair amount of debris on the trail -- I didn't see any rocks but plenty of twigs, leaves, pine needles. The skate deck was pretty crusty. The classic tracks looked similar. Overall I'd say it was an okay ski-- not fabulous, but coming from Minneapolis we were happy to see any snow at all!

Surprisingly good tracks! They are shallow but firm. The groomer of the week timed his efforts well after the very wet snow on Monday! I skied cautiously on brand new skis, jumped out of the track due to dirt only 2x. Only the hilliest trails remain ungroomed. Skied two days in a row here because conditions were inviting! Thanks!

Trails are freshly groomed after snowfall earlier this week. Conditions were great. Thanks to Rhinelander Northwoods Nordic for grooming and maintaining these fabulous trails. My daughter had never found the bell on top of Shoots & Ladders so we found it and remembered Wayne Fish.
