Yellowstone Ski Festival organizers reported:
Unpredictable weather conditions have allowed us at the Yellowstone Ski Festival to practice our snow dance skills and quick thinking. In an effort to preserve the snow on the Rendezvous Ski Trails, effective immediately, the race course trails, including all of Deja View, are CLOSED. Please, for the consideration of all, DO NOT ski on the closed trails.
Tonight, we will be grooming the South Plateau Road. From the road crossing of the Rendezvous Ski Trails, there will be eight (8) miles of two classic tracks and a narrow skate lane. All skiers will still need to have a trail pass and access the trails through the Rendezvous Trail System archway. Thank you to the US Forest Service for the quick access and for closing the road to all other traffic.
Thank you for staying for respecting the trail closures and understanding that we are doing our best to make sure people are able to ski and ski safely. Please remember this is early season and ski with the utmost caution.
