Crusty soft deck, most of the course decent coverage. A few bare spots and a couple areas that ski removal is required (back trail onto golf course and bridge crossing). Classic tracks in fair condition.

Started behind the Y on the north end. Didn't expect the conditions to be that great but looks like the groomer went thru yesterday. Classic tracks in good condition and skate deck with fresh cord but chunks of hard snow in some areas. Some slush/ice areas and some avoidable dirt. Great day to be out!

All trails north of the clubhouse, including the woods, were groomed for skating with classic tracks set. There is still pretty good snow coverage and the skate lane should set up to be nice and fast. There has been some forestry work going on that disturbed a small part of the trail, but you should be able to ski around any obstacles.

All segments open but there was quite a bit of logging going on. Lots of skidder tracks over the course that made it difficult to skate in some portions. The trail is in good condition other than that considering it was 42 degrees when I went out.

There appears to be some logging operations going on so the northern portions of the trail are pretty questionable. Lots of vehicle traffic and some amount of debris in the trail. What wasn't affected by logging was decent. Other than one spot under a tree there was plenty of coverage and the trail wasn't icy at all.

Beautiful day of skiing at Chomonix. The skate deck was very soft and slow, but it was still a fun time. Classic tracks are set on most parts of the trails. The trails south of the club house were being groomed as I was leaving.

All trails were packed and groomed with double track set on almost all of the trails. There is full coverage but with the amount of snow we received, it is really soft and slow.

Skiing at sunset today. Snow was fast. Nicely groom. The fresh snow was just what was needed. Full coverage a few washed out places but it reall was beautiful. Two sets of classic tracks most of the way. Ski early Saturday, you won't regret it. Skate deck looks firm and ready for great skiing.

Around 4:30p: I skated about 10k on the trails north of the parking lot at Chomonix fully expecting tough snow, and it was. Icy in a few places, but mostly just plain soft. Soft in the way one hears the snow packing/compressing under each ski as it glides. Soft is probably too complimentary; it was as if the snow was spread by a perpetual vanilla snow-cone machine. Classic tracks were still distinct over 90% of the trail, but looked icy in places. The more western of the two bridges closer to the road was fully snow-covered. The eastern bridge was just passable. Another day like today and there would be completely bare sections on the eastern bridge. Still, it was ski-able, and I was happy for the exercise outside. My "B skis" are also my "good skis", but if you have "B skis" I'd suggest them.

All trails are groomed and in great condition. Today the skate lane was groomed and the classic track was left alone, as it was firm and in good shape.The golf course sees some bare spots around tee-boxes/trees but easily skied around. The Woods of Chomonix loop is in great shape considering the traffic.
