  Conditions: Excellent.
We are out with the snowcat today. We will be grooming the west end of Logging Camp, Ridge Run, Moose Pasture, the north side of Beaver Dam, the North South Link from Aspen Lake to Golden Eagle, Wolf Point, Red Pines, Cross Fox, Deer Mouse, Moose Ridge and the Logging Camp along the north side of Flour Lake. The 2 inches of snow we received was perfect; just enough to freshen up the woods and pack in on the trails nicely. The base is firm for skating and tracks good for classic skiing. We have an average base depth of 9 inches.

Conditions: Fantastic grooming with about an inch of new powder snow on top.
North Superior Youth Ski League spent the day skiing at Golden Eagle and found the trails to be in spectacular condition with a good hardpack, deep tracks, solid skate lanes and a bit of powder on top. The kids and the parents had a great time. Snow conditions are near perfect and the scenery was awesome.

Skated Campground, Summerhome, and Logging Camp this afternoon. Good, hard corduroy, and temps near thirty made for fast, fun conditions. 14-18 inches of base. Fantastic mid-winter skiing.

  Conditions: Very good.
Summer Home Road, Lower Beaver Dam, Logging Camp, Ox Cart and Bear Cub are all groomed. Poplar Creek will be groomed today. The heavy wet snow bent many trees across the trails and made grooming a slow process, but today the trails are cleared and beautiful.

  Conditions: Very good.
The 10.25 inches of snow this past weekend was sure a welcome sight! It started with a little rain, soon turned to a wet, heavy snow, and then ended with a fine, dense snow that is packing in great. We did some preliminary packing on Monday while waiting for the temperatures to come down and some cleaning up of trees and brush infringing on the trail from the ice and heavy snow. We are out today with the snowcat, double tracking the trails and we’ll be back out in the next couple of days to put in skate lanes. Trails should be in excellent shape by the end of the week.
