Joanie and I skied from Highway K to Timber Lake Road (just over 2 miles one way) on the southern section of this trail, using the nice connector trail from the Washburn Lake Trail system. It had been groomed Saturday and the double-tracks were in very good condition. This portion of the trail was gently rolling with a variety of pines and hardwoods. We will have to come back and explore the northern sections of this trail. Had not been in here in years, so really enjoyed being on this trail again. Thanks for the great grooming!

Mother Nature finally let us get in to set track today. Between last weeks 15", and two other snowfalls of 3" and 6" this week and last night new tracks could be set. Conditions should improve as temperatures drop and the tracks sets up.

I skied from the North end lot to Sheep Ranch Road and back, including the loop. Tracks were still a little soft, and some sections of the trail were covered with oak leaves. However, most of the trail was in very good condition. The excellent grooming and plenty of snow made for some outstanding classic skiing!

New tracks were set this morning. These tracks should hold up nicely with the complementary cold temperatures.

The last two snow events finally left some snow to groom, and retrack this trail. If today's cold temperatures held you back, tomorrow looks warmer. Time to get out and enjoy these new conditions.
