Second stop of the day. Upper 30's when I arrived and I was the first skier on the trail since it had been reset recently. The track was slow and soft and breaking down under my skis for the most part. Some soft tracks in untransformed snow in the shade. Skins worked pretty good except the soft shaded snow. Logged area in thin woods and thick new growth as well. Nice intimate single track with rolling ups and downs and turns. Some turns too sharp for my length of classic ski. Would like to ski it again under firmer conditions. Note - it is located on the third number 560 road north of Goodland (left - west side). Not sure how 560 runs but it was a little confusing. There is the brown XC trail sign along Highway 65 at the proper 560 though.

Grooming plans: County groomers will not pack and track until next week, Jan. 15 or so.
