Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails were groomed today for both classic and skate skiing. We received between 4-5 inches of snow earlier this week so the condition of the trails are good but with warm temperatures in the near future it wont last long! Cool temps at night should keep the trails in decent shape through the weekend so don't miss out!

[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
Trails were groomed and tracked yesterday and are in good condition. Several locations may have exposed ground and a shallow track due to snow melt and rain earlier this week but overall it looks good. Come for a visit and enjoy the rest of winter!

I skate skied the trails and I was surprised at how good they were! Trails were groomed today and it broke up the ice crust. Skate lanes were good and not icy, very fast. Classic track was mostly melted out but there were no bare spots.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Freshly falling snow made for slower going and hard to find classic ski grooves, but the beauty of the snowfall made up for the slower going. Used B skis to be safe as was unsure of conditions underneath fresh snow, after first pass would have been fine with good skis. Wife is advanced beginner classic style and didn't mind the slower fresh snow, easier to ski than ice tracks. Skating lanes seemed firm underneath and only felt a few icy patches underneath. Am going out again Sunday, appreciate the snow up here compared to Beaver Dam area!

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, Good skis ]
All ski trails in the park were groomed Sunday and are in good condition despite the warm weather the past few days. The skate lanes are in good shape, but the classic tracks may be a bit fast and icy. Hoping for more snow in the near future.

Good base, but the trails were, predicatably, icy. It was a technical session to be sure. The ruts from the last skiers before the freeze made skating interesting, as they grabbed my skis and redirected me. Classic tracks were icy but fast when I jumped into them on the gentle downhill segments. It was snowing when I left, and the groomers were getting ready to head out. Should be a nice track in the coming days....and not many places with 2 hours of Oshvegas can make that claim. Thanks to the staff there for getting after the trails again, much appreciated! (I used A skis without issue...might want to take it easy as you get onto trail in the pines after the service road crossing).
