Pulled out broken down snowmobile from north Trout. Picked up groomer and set track from north Trout back to south Trout parking lot. Track in good condition with snow falling.

Track set in 3" new snow. Snowmobile broke down midway on trail to north end, we'll try and get it out today or tomorrow, may need help.

After 4" of new snow track has been set on Trout and Doan trails. Skiing should be very good for weekend.

This is a "special report" on the Doan Lake loop that branches off of the main Trout Lake trail. Skiing was excellent today and this single-track trail gets very little use and is beautiful! This trail branches off the Trout Lake Trail about 3/4 mile from the Trout Lake parking area. Then the trail loops about 3.5 miles and eventually returns to the Trout Lake Trail at the same spot. There are some challenging hills, but most of the trail is gently rolling through a variety of wooded habitats. This gorgeous trail must be one of the best kept secrets in the county. Snow conditions continue to be outstanding. You will not be disappointed if you try this loop. This was my first time on this loop, though I have skied the main Trout Lake Trail many times.

Double classic track in excellent condition. Met the groomer on the trail. Absolutely, the best skiing of the year is now!
