Reports 1 to 10 of 16    Month: Mar | Feb | Jan | Dec

Morning
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Maybe best of the season but given softness and thinness at 11 am I imagine it's rock skis if skiing at all unless more snow happens.

Morning
Firsthand: Both
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Classic track was as good or better today and the skate deck was much better with a couple new sections groomed for skate. Was getting sticky/soft in the sun after 1pm and a couple of the dirt spots were starting to expand, but still quite good and all avoidable. Will want to get there early tomorrow if you don't want to ski mush.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
The primary North Trails as well as the 7k loop are groomed for both skate and classic skiing. We reset corduroy on the skate deck late Thursday afternoon which should set-up great overnight. All skiing should be done before 11am OR whenever conditions start to become soft. If you are leaving ruts, please stay off the trails. In general that will be around 11am each day but sun could make that earlier and cloudy skies could extend that further into the day.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: Partial, B skis ]
Conditions were significantly better than I expected given all the warmth and rain after the snow. Deck has a fair amount of undulations with some slush spots and some minor dirt and branches but all avoidable. Track was also good other than some wave and minor slush/dirt. Will bring classic skis tomorrow.

Morning
Observation Scheduling
[ Trails: Closed, Bare ground ]
All trails are closed due to lack of snow and unsafe conditions. Certainly wish we had something else to report.

Afternoon
Grooming
[ Trails Open: Partial, Rock skis ]
Rock skis only! Some sections are surprising good but others are pretty bad with debris and rock protrusion due to the very thin base. We rolled and slightly compacted the primary North Trails. Currently those are the only ones we are categorizing as open. Additional trails were rolled but have more issues due to frost heave and rocks. Be prepared to have some damage to your skis no matter what route you take if you choose to ski.

Night
Observation
[ Trails: Closed, Bare ground ]
Trails are currently closed due to very base and unsafe conditions. Warm temperatures today exposed more rocks and debris and icy regions of the snow that is on the ground is unsafe.

Afternoon
Observation
[ Trails Open: All, Rock skis ]
Trail base is showing increased thinning and some rock protrusions. Conditions have become notably thinner over the last 24 hours. At this point there is really nothing we can control or do to improve conditions with no snow currently predicted in the forecast. We are recommending rock skis if you choose to ski.

Afternoon
Firsthand: Freestyle
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Skate lane is thin but skiable. But you have to dodge many areas where the dirt is showing through, especially where the grooming equipment hit "lumps" on the trail. I didn't see good classic tracks, just some skier made ones. The photo gives an idea of the dirt showing.

Grooming
[ Trails Open: All, B skis ]
Trails are in really great shape system wide with good coverage throughout. Still not enough depth to set tracks but overall great conditions given the snow totals. All trails were groomed up either Saturday night or Sunday morning and have set-up really well. Still recommending B skis out of precaution but debris is very minimal at this point.
